Rev. Mat Thomas – Senior Pastor
Reverend Mat Thomas came to Bethel in the Fall of 2003 to serve as their youth pastor. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Eastern Nazarene College in 2005 and Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University in 2010. Mat married the love of his life I'Esha on July 11, 2009. Mat was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in June of 2010.
In 2015, Mat was elected as Bethel Church of the Nazarene's lead pastor. Mat serves on several non-profit boards. Mat serves on the board at the Esther Sanger for Compassion, South Shore Friends of the Homeless, and Windsor Hills Camp. Mat also serves alongside of his wife I'Esha as the New England district NYI Teen Camp Directors. Pastor Mat enjoys reading a good novel, riding his bicycle, traveling, water aerobics, stimulating theological discussion, and a good cup of coffee. Pastor Mat is passionate about theology, justice, prayer, and retreating.
Rev. Nicole Kessler – Associate Pastor of Discipleship
Rev. Colleen McIntosh – Assistant Pastor of Worship and Media Arts
Pastor Colleen has been with us since Fall 2014 since completing her bachelor's of Christian Ministry from Eastern Nazarene College. In May 2015, she accepted a staff position to work with our worship teams and manage our website. She also runs our young adult program on the campus of Eastern Nazarene College, assists with our youth and children's programming, and provides oversight to our discipleship committee.
Pastor Colleen is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary and is looking forward to graduation in 2018. She works in the Adult and Graduate Studies Division at Eastern Nazarene College. Pastor Colleen loves the outdoors, classic British literature, curriculum design, and observing the occasionally crazed Boston sports fanatic.
