Welcome home to Bethel

Faces You’ll See at Bethel

Meet a Few of Our Team

Many at Bethel invest their gifts so this community can flourish. Here are just a few faces you’ll probably encounter on a typical Sunday morning:

MatMat Thomas, Senior Pastor
Pastor Mat provides leadership throughout every aspect of Bethel, from worship to discipleship to outreach. Passionate about hospitality and relationship-building, Mat will probably seek you out so he can greet you personally.

GregGreg Fish, Greeter & Usher
Greg is an awesome member of our youth group. He will greet you at the door, help you find seats, and indicate when it’s your turn for Communion. If you pick the right week, you may also get to hear Greg sing with the worship team.

TiffanyTiffany Sawyer-Brimage, Associate Pastor
Bubbly and passionate, Pastor Tiffany works behind the scenes to ensure that Bethel runs smoothly every week. She also serves across a variety of roles during worship — music, announcements, preaching, etc. Tiffany’s commitment to community outreach and justice challenges us to advocate on behalf of those our world marginalizes.

KevinKevin Smith, Worship Musician
Bethel is privileged to have a musician of Kevin’s training and ability leading the music. With graduate degrees in both music and sacred music, as well as a background in music education, Kevin helps us encounter God’s presence across a variety of music styles and worship experiences.

A5b5c89e 19ee 4e05 ad3f 149283f0a958Al Carroll, Associate Pastor
Pastor Al teaches the kids’ Sunday School class and leads Teen Extreme on Thursday nights. She is full of warmth and sincerity but isn’t afraid to show off her silly side, too! Al is also our resident handy ma’am, keeping the building functioning and ready for ministry.

There are even more incredible people who call Bethel home, leading, serving, and participating in God’s work together.

We can’t wait to meet you!

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service…” (Ephesians 4:11–12a, NIV)

Our leaders don’t serve alone—they serve in order to equip the whole church to grow and live out the gospel together.
