Lament leads to prayer, which shapes our faithfulness, even in the small things.

Lament, Prayer, and Faithfulness

In this week’s lectionary scriptures, Jeremiah grieves deeply for the people’s loss. The psalm cries out for deliverance. Paul urges prayers for peace and leaders, rooted in the one mediator, Christ Jesus. In Luke, Jesus uses a shrewd manager to challenge our faithfulness in small trusts. Even in hardship, we are called to prayer and faithfulness.

How can grief and prayer fuel faithful use of what God has entrusted to you?
