The Promise Draws Near: Waiting with Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love

November 30, 2025 | First Sunday in Advent

Christ is Coming. Wake Up to Hope.

Advent begins in the dark, not in despair, but in longing. Isaiah envisions a world reshaped by God’s peace (Isaiah 2:1-5). Paul urges us to wake up from sleep (Romans 13:11-14). Jesus calls us to keep watch, not in fear, but in readiness (Matthew 24:36-44).

At Bethel, we wait in hope—not passive but expectant—trusting that God is already at work. Even in uncertain times, the light is dawning.

Where do you need to wake up to hope this Advent? How can you live alert to God’s nearness this week?
