The Lord is my light and my salvation

January 25, 2026 | Third Sunday After Epiphany

Light in the Shadows

Psalm 27 proclaims the Lord as our light and salvation, the refuge who steadies our hearts in every fear. Isaiah promises that the people walking in darkness will see a great light. Paul calls the Corinthians away from division and back to the unity found in the cross of Christ. In Matthew, Jesus begins His ministry in Galilee, shining light into shadowed places and calling ordinary people to follow Him. These readings reveal the Christ who enters our darkness, heals our divisions, and calls us to walk in His light.

What area of your life feels shadowed? How might Christ be calling you forward into His light?
