Crisis Care Kits

Imagine losing everything in the blink of an eye—your home, your belongings, even access to basic necessities like soap, a toothbrush, or a clean towel. For many facing natural disasters, war, or displacement, this is a harsh reality.

Crisis care kits provide immediate relief and restore dignity to those in desperate situations. By taking a few moments to assemble a kit filled with essential hygiene items, you can be the hands of compassion reaching out to someone in need. Your small act of kindness can bring hope and comfort when it is needed most.

Item Donations

We regularly collect the items listed below to be gathered into crisis care kits for distribution in our local community or throughout the world.

Each crisis care kit will include:

  • 1 medium-size bottle of shampoo (12-18 oz., may not be medicated)
  • 2 bars of soap (bath-size or larger)
  • 1 medium-size tube of toothpaste (4.0-6.4 oz., expiration dates should be good for at least 18 months into the future)
  • 3 adult-size toothbrushes
  • 1 box of band-aids (at least 30 or more, may not be medicated)
  • 1 fingernail clipper
  • 1 large, sturdy hair comb
  • 2 hand towels (approx. 15″x28″, not kitchen towels or washcloths)
  • 4 pocket-sized packages of facial tissues
  • 7 unscented sanitary pads (regular size, individually wrapped by the manufacturer)
  • 1 stuffed toy (6-8 inches tall, soft and huggable)
  • 1 clear, 1-quart zip-top plastic bag
  • 1 clear, 2.5-gallon zip-top plastic bag

Please note:  All items must be in original, unopened packaging. Because of customs regulations, items must adhere to these size requirements.

There will be a box near the rear of the sanctuary where you can place your donations.

Financial Donations

If you are unable to donate items, consider making a financial donation either to Bethel Church for the purchase of additional supplies to fill out the kits or directly to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in support of global emergency relief.
