Shed

Big Paint, Big Hearts, and a Whole Lot of Gratitude

The Bethel Church of the Nazarene youth group had the joy of joining forces with Father Bill’s and The Evelyn House for an afternoon/evening of service, and what a blessing it was! Our teens raised money to purchase the supplies to build a storage shed at the Evelyn House. A special thanks to Herb Newell from Friends of the Homeless of the South Shore and our partners at Youth Build who constructed the shed.

While the shed may need a few touch-ups (we promise we’ll be back!), the heart of the project was a beautiful success. Thank you to Pastor lisa for organizing the important work. Our teens worked hard to help create a safer and more functional storage space for the residents of The Evelyn House. Along the way, we were joined by some unexpected but very enthusiastic tiny volunteers who made the day even more joyful.

This was more than just a work project, it was an opportunity to share space, build relationships, and honor the sacred work Father Bill’s and Evelyn House do every day for our community. From all of us at Bethel Church in Germantown, thank you. Thank you for welcoming us, partnering with us, and reminding us that even a splash of blue can be an act of love.

Amen
