Restoration, Repentance, and Faith That Humbles
In this week’s lectionary scriptures, Joel envisions restoration and the Spirit poured out. Psalm 65 celebrates God’s blessing over all. Timothy nears the end of his race, faithful despite opposition. In Luke, Jesus contrasts religious self-righteousness with humble repentance. We are restored to relationship with God when we repent, seek God’s Spirit, and run our race with humility.
What pride do you need to repent of? How might God’s Spirit renew you in humility?
