Persevering through struggles toward restoration and peace

Persevering Through Trials Toward Future Restoration

In this week’s lectionary scriptures, Isaiah paints a vivid picture of a restored world, where grief is no more and peace abounds. The psalm sings of God’s saving triumph. Paul urges disciplined, faithful work. In Luke, Jesus prepares His followers for trials, promising perseverance. We live in the space between the “now” of struggles and the “not yet” of future restoration, holding fast in our faith.

How do you anchor your soul in the vision of redemption, even amid the pressures of today?
