Giving Tuesday: Warmth That Welcomes, Care That Reaches

Your Gift Today Fuels Bethel’s Growing Outreach

How Giving Tuesday Matters To Bethel

When our boiler failed, you helped us act quickly so ministries didn’t miss a beat. Because of that generosity, the boiler is already replaced, and the first three payments are fully covered. Your Giving Tuesday gift helps us complete the final $4,000 installment in January and keeps our attention where it belongs: loving neighbors and growing in grace.

How Bethel Serves—Week In and Week Out

Your gifts sustain a full life of ministry and hospitality, including:

  • Worship & Sunday School — A weekly gathering shaped by prayer, Scripture, and community, with Sunday School classes for every age.
  • Teen Extreme (midweek) — A place for 6th–12th graders to belong, serve, and grow together.
  • Clothing Closet & Material Support — Sharing clothing, school supplies, toiletries, and more with neighbors who need a hand.
  • Food Pantry Donations — An ongoing collection that extends welcome and care to families facing food insecurity.
  • Shared Space for Ministry — Sharing our building so other Christian groups can host services and revivals.

What’s New On the Horizon

Your generosity is also helping Bethel expand our community outreach:

  • With a seed grant from the New England District of the Church of the Nazarene, we are currently participating in the Radical Hospitality study to prepare our congregation to welcome and support formerly incarcerated neighbors and their families.
  • We’re working on plans to launch a free food distribution program for the Germantown neighborhood in the near future with grant funding from the Esther Sanger Center for Compassion.

These efforts reflect who we are becoming together—and they’re fueled by the steady support of our church family and friends.

Your Part Today

  • Give to help cover January’s final $4,000 payment so we can finish this project with confidence.
  • Share this post with someone outside our usual circle—a friend, relative, former attendee, or neighbor—who cares about community care and hospitality.
  • Pray for wisdom and open doors as we serve the Germantown neighborhood in the city of Quincy.

From all of us at Bethel: thank you for the countless ways you love this church and our neighbors.
