The Way of the Blessed
Psalm 15 describes those who walk blamelessly and speak truth from the heart, living with integrity in God’s presence. Micah famously declares what God requires: to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God. Paul points out to the Corinthians the surprising wisdom of the cross — God choosing what seems foolish to reveal true strength. In Matthew, Jesus opens the Sermon on the Mount with blessings on the humble, the merciful, and the peacemakers. Together, these readings call us to a life shaped not by power or status, but by humility, mercy, justice, and the upside-down wisdom of Christ.
