I will cause breath to enter you and you shall live.

March 22, 2026 | Fifth Sunday in Lent

Breath of New Life

Psalm 130 cries from the depths, waiting for the Lord with hope. Ezekiel’s vision of dry bones reveals God’s power to bring life where none seems possible. Paul contrasts death-bound thinking with the life-giving Spirit. In John, Jesus calls Lazarus from the tomb, declaring Himself the resurrection and the life. This week’s scriptures proclaim that even in our deepest despair, God breathes life, restores hope, and calls us out of the grave.

Where do you long for God to breathe new life into what feels lifeless?
