The Way of the Cross
Psalm 118 gives thanks for steadfast love that endures forever. Isaiah describes the suffering servant who trusts God even in hardship. Paul sings of Christ who humbled Himself, even to death on a cross, and is now exalted. Matthew’s Passion narrative carries us from celebration to crucifixion, revealing the depth of Christ’s sacrificial love. This week’s scriptures lead us from palm branches to the cross, reminding us that God’s glory is revealed through humility, suffering, and redeeming love.
What does it mean for you to follow Jesus in the way of humility and self-giving love?
